2019: Braille Tales
"Braille Tales" is a program located in Louisville that provides free books to blind children from birth to six years old. Every other month, a new Braille Tale arrives in the mail. The hope is that these books will open the doorway for a blind child to build skills in reading, and continue to be excited about reading. Reading braille is something a child can use for the rest of their lives.

The braille books are actually being made at the Kentucky Correctional Institution for Women, Kentucky's only women’s prison. Women who work in the Inmate Braille Program spend about seven hours a day, five days a week working to make the books for the blind children. It gives the inmates skills to find work and hope for a better life when they are released from prison.

2017: Mom’s Closet Resource Center
Mom’s Closet Resource Center serves single moms who are struggling to make ends meet and who are willing to make the extra effort to help secure the future for themselves and their children. We are also a liaison between resources and services for single moms in our community. MCRC is not welfare or charity, but rather a hand up. Our goal is to uplift the Spiritual, Physical and Emotional needs of single moms. We want to empower single moms to seek a better quality of life through pursuing a higher education, allowing them to become self-supportive through a new career. We understand the road to the American Dream is often full of obstacles, ones we are trying to alleviate.
